Convert Fs9 Traffic Files To Fsx Servers

Any FSX formatted AI traffic file will not load if an FS9 formatted file is loaded. Also, if you do use the FS9 formatted file in FSX, the flights will be shifted by one day, and a few somewhat obscure airports will not be used due to ICAO code changes between the sims. FSX Flight plan compatibility checker and converter. While converting BGL files, TTools will decompile the flight plan, convert it, place the txt files in the txt output map, compiles the flight plans and put the bgl file in the bgl output map.

Maybe a naive question. I have recently re installed FSX and I have also re installed a number of WOAI packages. I have focused on Frankfurt Main airport to start with and downloaded and installed 42 airlines. When I load up the airport I see very few other aircraft, I guess about 4, an air France, Air India, Air Moldova and one Lufthansa. I have the traffic slider set to 100%. Without going into the schedules I have chosen a busy time of day when I guessed there should be more (more than 4 anyway). I read somewhere that there was a problem mixing FS9 and FSX traffic files.

Since some of my downloads (e.g. American Airlines) were specifically FSX but most, downloaded from flightsim, claimed to be useful for both FS9 and FSX I thought that might be the problem. Therefore I downloaded AIFP which offers the option of converting FS9 files to FSX.

It found and tagged loads of FS9 traffic files but refused to convert them to FSX giving the message that it could not decompile. I am not sure what to do - I now have a mixture of FS9 and FSX traffic files but do I delete the FS9 files? That would leave me with very few traffic files? Is this, in fact, the problem? All of the packages were installed using the WOAI installer and FSX selected. Thanks for any help Martin.

Thanks for your response I will check whether the DX10 preview is turned off I don't know what 'sufficient parking' means - the airport I have started with is EDDF which seems to me to have a lot of (currently empty) space. I will check ground shadows The problem is that some aircraft are visible, so the settings are not such as to prevent any WOAI package from working, just most. I need to experiment more with different airports and different times of day. I seem to recall though that before I had to re install FSX EDDF had plenty of WOAI aircraft even though I had not installed all the packages that call there.
